Foods to Avoid for Heartburn

Are you suffering from Heartburn?

Certain activities weaken the sphincter that keeps stomach acid from leaking up into the esophagus and causing heartburn. In this step we remove those activities for just 3 days and notice if the heartburn goes away.

Remove all caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, peppermint and stress from your life for 3 days.

  • These foods can mildly weaken your muscles.  That sphincter is such an important muscle,  just a little weakness allows stomach acid to leak up and heartburn to occur.

  • If you don't feel you're capable of removing these foods then set up a time to talk to me.  I have another plan to help you feel strong enough to stop these activities for just a few days.

Remember it's only for 3 days to reset the muscle. After 3 days you should be able to go back to normal use of these things - until of course a busy stressful weekend with too much wine and coffee. You will learn how much of these items weaken the sphincter and cause heartburn and how much care you need to give your body to recover from the heartburn.

This is the first in a series on healing the underlying cause of heartburn - check out the next article here.
